Baby Dedications – At HDC there are many times throughout the year a parent can dedicate their child to the Lord, as well as to make the needed vow and commitment to God themselves that is a part of baby dedication. The baby dedication is inherently linked to the parent serving and living for God faithfully and consistently themselves. They will be the ones who will impact their children for Christ most by their word and example. Click here for the Baby Dedication Packet
Water Baptism – The Baptism in Water is an important of HDC as the individuals declare their new life in Christ. The ordinance of baptism by immersion is commanded in the scriptures. All who repent and believe on Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord are to be baptized. Thus they declare to the world that they have died with Christ and that they also have been raised with Him to walk in newness of life. (Mat. 21:19; Mark 16:16; Acts 10:47-48, and Rom. 6:4) Click here for the Water Baptism Packet
Holy Communion – The Lord’s Supper (Holy Communion) is practiced at HDC on specific times a year chosen by the Pastoral Staff as we want to honor the meaning and not make it a tradition. Holy Communion, consisting of the elements of bread and the fruit of the vine is the symbol expressing our sharing the divine nature of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 1:4), a memorial of His suffering and death (1 Cor. 2:26); and a prophecy of His second coming, and is enjoined on all believers “till He come”
Marriages – House of Destiny Church and its ministers only perform ceremonies to those associated with House of Destiny Church. House of Destiny Church believes that marriage has only one meaning: the uniting of one biological man and one biological woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture. We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only within the confines of marriage. Because marriage is a covenant between one man, one woman, and God, the church has the responsibility, in its sole discretion, to evaluate the readiness of those seeking to enter into the marriage covenant.
In keeping with biblical teaching, the Church requires the following for any couple seeking to celebrate a marriage at the Church:
Faith – Both bride and groom must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ (2 Cor. 6:14).
Celibacy – he engaged couple must live separately before their wedding day. Sexual intimacy is to be celebrated exclusively within marriage (1 Thess. 4:3).
Man / Woman Monogamy – Marriage is a sacred union of one man and one woman. House of Destiny Church does not recognize, nor will it take part in, any ceremony that does not meet this basic criterion (Gen. 2:24; Matt. 19:4-5).
Premarital Counseling – The engaged couple must participate in counseling program with the length of counseling to be determined prior to the wedding ceremony. Please schedule at least 8 weeks in advance to allow adequate time for premarital counseling.
